The oldest ski resort in Spain is set right in the heart of the stunning Pyrenean Mountain range and it is undergoing quite a transformation as we write – massive investment is being ploughed into everything from infrastructure to real estate, and so important is the resort year round that it is used in the spring and early summer as a training camp for pro cycling teams preparing for the world’s most important cycle race, the Tour de France. In the summer it is also popular with everyone from mountain bikers to microlight enthusiasts, and of course in the autumn and winter it is an amazing ski resort.
Now is a great time to consider investing in property in La Molina as the rate at which the resort is developing will ensure greater numbers of year round tourists visit the area and that their experience when on holiday in the resort is enhanced by the general improvements to the entire resort and surrounding areas.
As stated La Molina is the oldest ski resort in Spain, it is set at an altitude of around 5,580ft and it boast 40 pistes with 50km of runs that suit everyone from the beginner to the most advanced skiers and snow boarders. Accessibility to the resort could not be easier – you can either fly in to Toulouse in France with cheap flight operators such as Easyjet or main operators such as BA, or you can fly to Barcelona in Spain and then take a train or drive to the resort.
The range of property available already in the resort is mainly apartment based with some villa homes also for sale – and currently under construction are large numbers of high-grade homes for sale to investors and those seeking a stunning second home in a year round popular resort.
Because there are two international airports within two hours of the resort it is no wonder that so much is being invested in to the advancement of it. Ski weekends and short breaks away with the family to mountain bike or hike, hot air balloon or even have a spa break at the luxurious Hotel Torre del Remei which is nearby are all possible because La Molina is so accessible.
Unlike new and emerging resorts such as Bansko in Bulgaria, La Molina is already world famous, it is five star and it is established – so, if you want a stunning investment property in an advancing resort, perhaps you should consider buying property in La Molina in Spain.
