Summary: With an increase in the build density in the most popular parts of Spain such as across Andalucia and in particular along the Costa del Sol, golf property in Spain has become even more sought after because residents are afforded uninterrupted greenbelt views which cannot be built on or spoilt, furthermore when buying golf property purchasers are buying into a community of likeminded individuals.
The popularity of golf property in Spain has surged in recent years and has a great deal to do with the fact that such properties are usually of superior design and construction and have direct access to a range of onsite facilities and amenities from the clubhouse and golf course to such delights as swimming pools, spas and restaurants.

Andalucia has in excess of fifty golf courses over half of which are on the Costa del Sol and the price of properties for sale within these golfing communities has continued to soar year on year no matter what the rest of the Spanish property economy is doing. Those who were lucky enough to have bought off plan find that they can flip their property on and realise good profits as soon as the property and surrounding areas are completed if they so wish
Part of the appeal of apartments and villas located next to a golf course for property investors looking at the Spanish real estate market is the fact that golfers play almost all year round in Spain and so they can rent out their property for far longer than the traditional summer season if that property is located on one of the best golf courses in the region. Often golfing communities have their own management company through which investors can let out their property therefore remaining as hands off as they like whilst earning good returns from weekly rental income.
Property developers in Spain have cottoned on to the appeal of such properties especially following on from the unrivalled success of the Polaris World developments. Even in parts of Spain traditionally less popular with tourists the bug has caught on and now on the Costa Calida particularly in Murcia for example there are a number of new golf courses under construction all of which will feature luxury residential communities – great news for both buy to let investors seeking golf based investment property in Spain and keen golfers concerned that they had been priced out of the market elsewhere.
