Leopard Films, a major British and American television production company, is looking for international estate agents and people buying or who have bought property abroad to feature in a new series of ‘House Hunters International’…and you could even be paid for your time!
‘House Hunters International’ is the American style version of Britain’s very own ‘A Place in the Sun,’ and it has a massive viewing in the US. The show is a spinoff from HGTV’s ‘House Hunters’ and will also be aired on HGTV, which is the leading home and lifestyle programming channel in America.
If you’re currently hunting for a home overseas, you’ve just committed to buying abroad or you’re an estate agents overseas with international clients who might like to feature on the show…read on to find out how you can find fame and fortune (well, up to $1,500 anyway!)
The main concept of ‘House Hunters International’ is that it follows a person or people who have recently bought a home from an agency within the past year or so, alternatively if you’re close to closing on a residential property and you’re a real estate agent overseas, the show might choose to focus on you. Both agent and homeowner/s must be fluent in English and ideally aged between 30 and 50.
If you’re an agent and you or anyone from your agency participates in the show, in addition to promoting your agency on TV, your contact information will be featured on HGTV’s website. You could also receive a $500 honorarium for your time. If you’re a property buyer or homeowner and you’re featured in the show, you could receive up to $1,500 to cover any of your airline and/or hotel costs for example. So, not only will you find a bit of fame – you won’t be put out financially for your time either, and all in all this could be a lot of fun for you.
In each ‘House Hunters International’ programme, home hunters and their real estate agents check out all the architectural styles in the country featured and work through the idiosyncrasies of buying real estate in other countries for the benefit of the audience, past shows can be viewed online, and if you want to know more about HGTV, click here.
