Want to Live in Australia? Get Your Visa Application in Now!It seems that Australians in their droves are flocking back to their motherland to escape the economic doom and gloom elsewhere in the world, thus reducing the skills shortage that Australia suffers from.

Meanwhile, anyone keen on emigrating ‘down under’ is being encouraged to get their visa application in quick, because the Australian government is likely to reduce the number of places available in the near future.

The appeal of Australia is still so great with would-be expats, that the news that it could soon become harder to emigrate to live there will be a bitter pill to swallow for many.  Our advice therefore is two fold – 1, if you are dead set on a new life living the dream in Australia, get your visa application in now and 2, make sure you pay great attention to giving the right details and supplying the best personal data when completing the form so that it is likely to be viewed as quickly as possible – and ideally as favourably as possible.

2,600 Aussies are returning home to live in Australia each and every month on average, according to the Australian government’s figures.  These are successful and professional migrants who had been living and working abroad in the UK, America and Singapore for example, and who have found that increasingly, things are looking bleak overseas.

As the financial services industry in the UK is making greater numbers of individuals redundant for example, and industries like tourism and construction around the world are cutting back on staff, so affected Australians are deciding that now is the right time to return to their roots.  What’s more, those who have not yet been directly affected but who’re seeing the way economies are going in places like Great Britain, are deciding that now could well be the right time to get out before the going gets any tougher.

For Australia this is great news – a nation that has long suffered from a skills shortage and something of a brain drain, the government has had to attract skilled migrants each and every year to fill in for the numbers of Australians who leave to seek their fortunes elsewhere.  Now however, with the high numbers of Aussies returning, the government is actively thinking that they will have to reduce the numbers of visas that they give out every year.

You can then add on the fact that Australia itself is not immune to the global financial situation and is aware that it too may be facing a relatively bleak period with rising unemployment and inflation, therefore it will have less need to import skills and there will be less room and also tolerance in the employment marketplace for foreign labour.

What this means is that those who are determined to go and live in Australia really need to get their visa applications in as soon as possible.  Additionally, if you are thinking that living in Australia could be right for you and your family, research the right visa type to apply for.  There is such a broad range, and if you want to present the best application possible you need to make sure that you’re filling in the form most applicable to you.  When you do so, also ensure that you spend time filling in all relevant details correctly, make sure your spelling and grammar are up to scratch, that your form is neatly presented and contains details of every positively supporting aspect of your life to make your application shine.  In so doing you stand the very best chance of having someone look favourably upon your application.
