News Site for Expats Everywhere – Expat Daily News

A sometimes edgy, sometimes controversial, always newsworthy site has been added to the mix in terms of expatriate reading material on the Internet – introducing Expat Daily News

News Site for Expats Everywhere – Expat Daily NewsA welcome new addition has been brought to the expatriate-related-website-mix – and this time, instead of it being a boring blog about ‘where I live’ or a forum where expats can rant and rave about the difficulties of establishing a new life abroad, Expat Daily News is a new and sometimes controversial, dedicated news site for expatriates everywhere!

The site has a bit of an American slant at times, but it is not restrictive because as stated, it embraces and welcomes all expats from all backgrounds – the one thing genuinely uniting the readership is being a foreigner in a foreign land!

The point of the site is to bring up to the minute, relevant news to expats – and to furnish us foreigners with a broad range of stories about what’s going on in the wider world around us.

Other sites such as the British Telegraph newspaper have had sections dedicated to expat newsworthy stories in the past, but Expat Daily News takes this idea one step further, and is wholly focused on bringing news, stories, features and reports to the fore that will be of absolute interest to expats.

Stories range from the ‘Hot Topics’ section favourites which are probably stories that invite the most controversy – the latest section entry discusses whether women and girls are to blame for the increase in rapes in Goa because of their provocative summer clothing.  The editor is outraged that this has been the directly stated implication in Goa by the authorities, following the rape of a 9 year old girl on the beach there.

For less edgy and controversial content, but certainly equally newsworthy reading there are sections dedicated to expat advice, finance and health, international property and retiring or working abroad.  The site ties in well as an additional resource for Shelter Offshore readers, which is why we’re bringing your attention to it.  You can even subscribe to the site’s newsletter which will bring you a break down of the day’s or even the week’s stories straight to your inbox…which saves the very lazy from having to bookmark the site!

If you enjoy writing and venting your spleen, bringing attention to issues in your new nation or you just have a point to make that’s newsworthy, well written and of interest to fellow-expats, you could try contacting the editor with your story.  The best make it on to the site – so you could even find yourself contributing to the success of this blogging news resource.

It’s nice to see a platform on the internet for well written content, of specific interest to what is, let’s face it, an ever growing and expanding group of nomadic people – namely us expats!
