Living in CanadaAll about living in Canada

Expatriates can expect a warm welcome in Canada.

As an expatriate your first year in any new country will be emotional and you will experience constant changes!  Life in Canada for an expatriate is no exception.

From looking for a place to live, a new job, or schools for your children you will face challenges when adjusting to living in Canada, but each day should be seen an achievement and as Canada is such a welcoming country you will quickly adjust to life in Canada.

Canadians are quite open people which will probably mean you make new friends quite quickly.  There are also many expatriates in Canada who will know exactly how it feels to move to a new community, a new country.  These people will help you come to terms with giving up familiarity and help you find a new life in Canada.
All expats know that the best way to adjust to a new community is to become involved - have no fear, you won’t have any other choice in Canada!  Living in Canada you will find you have many opportunities to participate fully in Canadian life and through taking all opportunities afforded to you, you and your family will make a good life for yourselves in Canada.

You will find that Canadians enjoy a fairly high standard of living, and the cost of living will vary from province to province.

Obviously the major cities such as Vancouver or Montreal are the most expensive areas - and you will generally find that both food and housing prices are in line with the United States.
