Kyrenia (Girne) is a beautiful old harbour town on the northern coast of North Cyprus just a short 30 minute drive away from the Cypriot capital city of Nicosia (Lefkosa).
The horseshoe harbour at Kyrenia is one of the most beautiful natural harbours in the world, with little restaurants nestled along the edge dwarfed by the immense Byzantine castle that for so long stood guard observing all who came from the see to rest in the peace and tranquility of the harbour.
