“Don’t wait any longer to change your life for the better.” That’s what it says on the Opportunities Australia Expo website, and we couldn’t agree with the sentiment more. After all, if things aren’t going your way in the UK or you’re determined that there is more for you out there, why put off emigration any longer?
If the sun, sea, sand, way of life, quality of living and overall appeal of Australia has you interested sufficiently to look seriously at relocation, the Opportunities Australia Expo event is a must visit show for your diary in 2009.
The Expo is taking place in London from the 21st to the 22nd of March, and in Leeds from the 28th to the 29th of March, and it is the very place where you could end up getting a job in Australia before you migrate. What’s more, not only are there recruiters and employers at these Expo events, there are relocation specialists, real estate agents, immigration department experts and even bank tellers to help you open an Australian bank account…
Now in its 20th successful year, the Opportunities Australia Expo is an incredible event that gives everyone who wants to go and live and work in Australia the very best options, guidance and assistance possible. The event has an entry fee this year of £15, and those could well be the best fifteen pounds you ever spend! If you attend the Expo and are well prepared to meet with employers and recruiters, you could end up getting a job in Australia over the weekend event and having everything in place ready for your migration!
This year features two additional zones, namely the Health Pavilion and the Engineering and Construction Zone – and as you can imagine, the two zones will be packed with leading engineering, construction and healthcare employers who are travelling to the UK specifically to recruit a range of skilled professionals from these industries. If you’re looking for construction jobs in Australia or you’re a nurse, doctor or medical professional, Australia wants and needs you, and there will be active job openings being recruited for over both weekends.
As most people are aware, to get into Australia the majority of us need to have a visa, and there are multiple categories of visa under which one can apply for residency and the permission to work Down Under – whilst the skilled migration visa is one of the more flexible to have, if you can secure a job before you go, so much the better! Then your relocation can effectively be ‘sponsored’ and you can be out of the UK and on the way to a new life in Australia before you know it.
Therefore, this Opportunities Australia Expo is perfect for anyone serious about relocating…it can give you a job before you go! And if you don’t find a job you can still make yourself known to recruiters and employers, you can still register your details and have a face to face with recruitment companies, you can still speak to the immigration department about getting help and advice with your visa application form! You can also meet with relocation specialists who can do anything and everything from simply arranging transportation of your personal effects to going the whole hog and helping you get your visa. Finally, there are even estate agents represented at the Expo who can talk with you about finding property in Australia to rent or buy, and bankers who can assist you there and then with getting an Australian bank account opened!
The Expo, having run for 20 years already, is so beautifully organised and so well put together and thought out that it is a very positive experience for all who attend. And in our opinion, if you really do want to move to live and work in Australia you would be totally mad to miss either the March 21st – 22nd event at Chelsea Football Club, The Great Hall, Stamford Bridge, Fulham Rd, London, SW6 1HS, or the Leeds 28th – 29th event at Saviles Hall - (opposite Royal Armouries Museum) - Armouries Square, Leeds, LS10 1LT.
