This is a truly great and exceptionally inspirational book for all those who dream of moving overseas to start a new chapter in their lives.

The book was written to follow on from the highly successful British television series where a number of contributors were given the chance to live out their dream life overseas, aided and abetted by the TV show’s presenters. The book features the inside stories of many of the television programme’s contributors, it covers the highs and lows of their adventures abroad and best of all the book’s very frank and open feel allows the reader to truly empathise with everyone featured in it.
There is a great deal of general practical advice in ‘No Going Back – Buying Abroad’ – for example the book’s featured families give advice about how to plan to move abroad, what the realities are like as opposed to the dream of starting a new life overseas and how to go about a search for a decent property in a foreign country. Property is not the soul focus of the book although it is heavily covered, there is also information about settling into a new life abroad, finding a job or getting a business up and running and also moving overseas with children.
‘No Going Back – Buying Abroad: Making a New Life in the Sun’ is an exceptionally good book for those who really want to know what to expect before they make the commitment – it will either seal the idea in their minds or put them off the dream if their idea of a new life abroad was too idealistic in the first place!
The books doesn’t hold back and hide any of the more ugly truths….but at the same time it has not been written to dissuade people from starting a new life abroad, buying property overseas or living and working as an expatriate in a foreign country. As a great lead in to buying a property abroad, surviving a move overseas and establishing a brand new life in another country this book is a really good guide, it also makes fun reading, it is beautifully illustrated with good pictures from many of the locations featured in the ‘No Going Back’ television series and above all it offers fantastic advice on many subjects for all would be expats whether their dream is to retire to Spain or start a business in Australia.
