The Best Painter and Decorator in North Cyprus

Well, what a crazy time we’re having – we moved into the Ozankoy house in December…and now we’re moving out again.  My mother asked whether moving is now a hobby and I think maybe it’s more of an addiction – I’d go and see someone about it if being mentally ill was legal in North Cyprus but I have a feeling it isn’t!

Anyway, so, yes we’re on the move again – this time we’re heading back to the flat for a bit – look, just don’t ask why okay?  So, the flat was Barbie pink when we bought it and then we spent weeks painting it but really it all needs a good freshen up because where furniture used to be but now isn’t but may well be again the paint is a different shade and so we need paint – and so we need the best painter and decorator in North Cyprus.

We once knew a man called Trevor…he was good.  But I can’t find his phone number, no one knows him and he’s not in the Buzz Book or North Cyprus Yellow Pages – maybe I imagined him – but luckily there’s a man called Andy (not my Andy, another one) and he’s in Cyprus Today and he really exists…so I call him and he says he’ll come and quote and round he pops and quotes he does and it’s all looking good so far…

And then we decide we’d better paint the house too seeing as we’ve sold it and that too was painted some strange shade of pink despite the fact we asked for another shade altogether – but that’s another conspiracy theory I just haven’t the time for right now.  Yes, so, he quotes us for that and doesn’t mind when Cheese tries to sniff his bum and Milly tries to hump his leg (she’s a girl but she humps things?).  So…today while we were at lunch Andy the painter – sorry, Andy who is now officially the Best Painter and Decorator in North Cyprus (he’s that good he deserves capitalisation) paints practically the WHOLE flat.  Can you believe it?  I nearly passed out.

How on earth can one man do what it took me and the other Andy three weeks to achieve in about one hour?  I’ve been spying on this other Andy and I think he’s hiding a helper in the closet or something and just getting him out when I’m not looking…
