New Version of About North Cyprus Soon

I am oh so ever so excited – but totally exhausted and falling asleep at my desk (nothing new there then – did I ever tell you about power napping on the loo when I worked for Citigroup?) Sorry, I digress, yes indeed, Andy and I are working day and night on a brand spanking funkily new version of our little gem AboutNorthCyprus.com

As many of you know, we started the site after this wee bloggie here got quite a lot of attention because quite simply there is not enough written about living and working in North Cyprus and because the only people writing about property in North Cyprus were the maybe, possibly, I should probably think so slightly biased estate agents.  Well at long last the best independent information site all about living, working, retiring and investing in North Cyprus site is getting a thorough overhaul.

The trouble with our About North Cyprus site was the fact that it was laid out in a blog like fashion with all the latest articles appearing on the front page - which was fine until the front page was stuffed full of wonderful content by yours truly and it began to paginate.  This meant that the seriously useful stuff I wrote in the early days of the site such as making the residency process simple, importing cars to TRNC, title deeds in North Cyprus, getting a job on the island and where the best night life is to be found in North Cyprus started disappearing miles down the website making it hard to find for those seeking genuine information about retirement, living it up or even buying property in North Cyprus.

So now my little techie designer genius Andy has come up with a plan to make the site far easier to navigate for all those seeking advice, information and our uniquely unbiased online guides to buying property in North Cyprus.  He’s also designing a new look front page and feature pages but managed to resist my insistent urgings (oooo errr) to go for a pink and purple site.  I was given a long lesson in colour design and how some computer screens display with dodgy resolutions, some people have colour blindness issues and how the Barbie pink and Barnie purple scheme I chose looked, quite frankly, hideous…oh well, I try.

So, when it’s done it’ll be a far more useful resource, I’m producing a lot more content because there is so much left to say, we’re going to feature a photo gallery with a collection of stunning images taken by us and also by our BB (best buddy) Wendy Offer who’s the sales director at Right Move North Cyprus and who considers herself an amateur photographer but whom we consider to be pretty damn good actually!  She’s said we can include some of her images and all those seeking pics for their own ramblings about the island can use them too.

We want the site to be as comprehensive a general guide to North Cyprus as possible and to that end we are revamping it, re-jigging it and populating it with even more useful content and hoping that our readers will love it.
